DISCOGRAPHY
Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs have released five records since 2016. Their most recent album, Through the Smoke, was recorded at The Panoramic House in Stinson Beach CA, and was released in July 2021. This album is one of personal transformation. The concept of letting things go, processing past and current situations, and moving forward has been ever present in 2020-2021, as the world went through trials beyond words. Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs found a way to represent their journey through hardship, while also celebrating the silver linings and breakthrough moments in their lives. Through the Smoke brings energy to the darkness, and proves that resilience can get us through the hardest of times. In June 2020, the Bird Dogs released an album called Live at the Filling Station, recorded in their hometown of Bozeman, MT. This album is the most recent live recording of the band, showing off their high energy dynamic when playing to a sold out crowd. Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs released their first studio album, Sweet Little Lies, in May 2019. The Bird Dogs recorded at well-known studio, Prairie Sun Records, in Cotati, CA. They worked with mixing engineer and producer Brad Dollar, and created an energetic compilation of songs that bring the listener through heartache, joy, exploration, and trials of being on the road. The Bird Dogs released their first album, self-titled, in 2016. The live album was recorded at Basecamp Studio with Chris Cunningham. Their second album, The Vigilante Session, was released in October 2017. This session was again recorded live, but this time at the Vigilante forest service cabin in the Ruby Mountains of Montana. In January 2019 Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs were featured on an Emmy award-winning PBS series called 11th and Grant. Click below to watch their full one-hour episode. |
